Welcome to the Virtual Library offering of continuing education credits for the Imaging and Radiology professionals. Learn more about state of the art medical imaging, and FUJIFILM products through our Online Learning Center presentations, tutorials, and visual materials. All of our curricula are approved for ARRT and CRA Category A credit (CE).

Access to FUJIFILM's Virtual Library is available by either purchasing an individual course or Companies can take advantage of the Group purchase of an annual subscription to receive cost effective group access to the content. Visitors to the site can preview the content before purchase. The CEU topics are focused on Digital X-ray, Women's Health and FUJIFILM's Synapse PACS products.

The entire library is open to those customers who participate in the Converted Days Program. If your site wishes to convert your remaining education days before the end of your initial installation year, please contact Virtual.Library@fujifilm.com.

The Women's Health library is available to customers who recently purchased a piece of Mammography Equipment from us.

Synapse Radiology

MPR-FUSION v2.3- Application Training

This session is intended to familiarize Radiologists, Technologists and Clinicians with the Synapse MPR/Fusion software application. We will cover the 4 viewers that Synapse MPR/Fusion provides and the tools included in those viewers.

Synapse PACS Basics

This course will discuss PACS Basics regarding FUJIFILM's own, Synapse. The session will touch on various topics; explaining how to view patients' images in synapse, the function of each icon during the retrieval stages of the exam, and the Mammography tools used to diagnostically read the images.

What's New Clinical Overview for Synapse 3.2.1 with SR-343

The information covered during this tutorial is intended for Synapse Users who are familiar with the Synapse PACS product up to the software release 3.2.1 with SR-320 & SR-342. The new product features and enhancements are reviewed during this session to enhance product understanding and preparation for use in the Clinical environment of Radiology.

SWAT Basics

This training module will teach you the basic functions of Synapse Web Administration Tool (SWAT). The target audience will be those individuals who are responsible for Administrative duties for the Synapse PACS system.

Synapse Notes v3.2.1

This tutorial was created to review the Synapse Notes feature for Users. During this tutorial we will learn how to create a Note using the various options within the Synapse Application. We will also review the use of notes in some specific workflow situations.

Digital X-ray Topics

Digital Detectors and Radiation Dose Reduction

This session addresses advances in Digital Technology that assist with reducing dose when using the new Digital Detectors for capturing regular diagnostic images in radiography departments. In addition while looking at the dose reduction, we will review the new dose detection and monitoring of the dose as well as monitoring image quality. The new Dose Area Product (DAP) meter and the recording of the exposure dose and the cumulative dose for patients will also be discussed.

CsI Flat Panel Detector Wireless D-EVO Technology

This session is intended to provide an introduction and explanation of the Fujifilm CsI FPD wireless D-EVO technology. Exposure in a digital environment, flat panel detector technology including irradiated side sampling with both gadolinium oxysulfide and cesium iodide detectors will be discussed.

FDR D-EVO- Portable Flat Detector Panel

This Tutorial was designed to introduce you to the Fuji D-EVO Portable Flat Panel Detector, or FPD. Basic types of DR technologies and how they differ from one another, both in operation and how they affect Image Quality, will be presented. After completing this course, the User will have an understanding of startup, shutdown, precautions for use and troubleshooting tips for using the D-EVO Digital Flat Panel Detector.

Advanced Applications Digital Radiography -Energy Subtraction

This Session "Advanced Applications in Digital Radiography - Energy Subtraction (ES)" gives participants an overview of radiographic subtraction imaging, and acknowledges some high-points in history that helped pave the way to its development.

CR in the Veterinarian Environment

This presentation will cover the use of CR in the Veterinary field. We will discuss benefits of CR, features of FCRview, as well as safe start-up/shut-down procedures and transferring information to other mediums. By converting to CR, both large and small practices have the benefits of reducing operating costs, consistent, image high quality and improved workflow.

Radiation Oncology and Portal Imaging

The purpose of this presentation is to provide an understanding of Radiation Oncology and portal imaging. This course will review Radiation Therapy imaging equipment and techniques, Computed Radiography equipment and how to implement CR into an Oncology department. The course is designed to give a basic understanding of how Radiation Oncology departments image cancer patients.

IIP Monitor vs PACS Monitor Images

This tutorial is designed to inform, educate and facilitate the common question, "Why do the images look better on the PACS monitors?" During this session we will review each monitor's ability to display images with the highest resolution per the OEM.

CR Portables

During this tutorial we will explain the various types of exams commonly performed using a portable unit. You will be given instructions and tips on how to get the best images possible using Fuji CR, what processing menus will work best, and which grid to use, if one is appropriate. Also, we will provide tips on how to become more proficient at performing portable procedures.

FCR Carbon Suite

The main components of the Carbon Suite will be identified and reviewed during this session. We will cover the following topics: the Carbon, IIP, Siemens Control Panel, cassettes, imaging plates, Speedlink control software, safe off/on procedures and Emergency shutdown procedures.

Velocity SpeedSuite

This presentation will cover the Velocity SpeedSuite. We will identify the main components of the FDR Velocity SpeedSuite, as well as, describing safe operating procedures for the SpeedSuite, IIP Console and X-ray Equipment.

Grid Pattern Removal - GPR

This session is offered to introduce Grid Pattern Removal software to FCR & FDR customers. The Purpose, Benefits, Process and Effective use will be covered for better customer understanding.

Grids

This course will discuss the various types of grids and the physical makeup of the grid. This course will also cover the terminology of the grids as well as the advantages and disadvantages of the various grids. We will look at the proper grid selection for particular portable exams performed in departments. We will discuss the improved image quality with the proper use of grids in portable radiography.

One Shot Phantom Quality Assurance Program

The "One Shot Phantom Quality Assurance Program" covers Quality Assurance of the Fuji XG500, Carbon-X and Carbon-XL readers utilizing the One Shot Phantom.

This program identifies the following:

  • All pertinent tools of the One Shot Phantom
  • Establishes a Phantom Baseline
  • Covers the Frequency of testing
  • Identifies the forms to fill out
  • Provides the Corrective Actions when necessary.

Women's Health Topics

Breast Imaging Center of Excellence

The ACR's Breast Imaging Center of Excellence Certification is awarded to those facilities that have received accreditation in Mammography, Breast Ultrasonography and Stereotactic Breast Biopsy. Understanding the significance of this certification goes back to the roots of mammography and the improvements that have been made in the quality of mammographic exams since the discovery of x-rays in 1898.

IHE for Mammography

This course reviews the IHE manual as related to digital mammography. The IHE manual was developed to assist those in the purchasing and implementation of digital mammography systems.

Aspire Digital Mammography VCM & DX Parameters

This course focuses on the meaning and application of the View Code Modifiers and DX Parameters. During this session we will attempt to communicate the importance of the view code modifiers and the DX parameters as they are applied to image labeling and the image orientation and justification within the Reading Protocols.

FCRm QC for Aspire

This presentation was created to give users the opportunity to learn about the QC program for the Aspire FFDM including printers. Understand the required tests; personnel responsible for testing; frequency of tests; required test equipment; precautions and caveats; and corrective action. The user will be able to follow step by step instructions to perform QC for Aspire to include printers.

Introduction for Aspire FFDM

This course will provide the participant with basic knowledge of Fujifilm FFDM including the benefits and an overview of basic equipment and computer technology as related to breast imaging. Aspire FFDM Quality Assurance Program

FFDM Quality Assurance is mandated by MQSA and confirms consistency in the imaging system. The Lead Interpreting physician at each facility is responsible for assuring that all quality assurance requirements are met. The purpose of these requirements is to ensure that every component of the imaging chain is functioning optimally. The achievement of these goals is vital to high quality imaging. This session focuses on the frequency of the testing and a detailed description of the procedures required.
